Amazing in talks with another parent who is just 20 minutes up the road. Who’s child had SDR 3 years ago and is up and walking the difference in videos we have seen are amazing 💙 Long road ahead but worth it 👣👣👣
To reach 50k in 4 months is amazing Every single one of you should be so proud in contributing to hitting the 50k enabling us to now go to the Surgeon and book that life changing operation for Alfie 💙
Its not down to one individual person it’s down to EVERYONE from likeing a status , sharing a status , even donating £1 has made all this possible .
We are so grateful to every single one of you.
As you are aware we still need to continue to fundraise for 3rd year aftercare and specialised equipment for Alfie which plays a vital part in him up and walking unaided
… So we will continue chipping away with this untill he is UP and WALKING
If there is any money left over and Alfie doesn’t use it , it will be given to another child who needs it 💙👣
Hi guys Alfies mam here, I would just like to give a shout out to my sister Melanie. She will not be happy I’ve done this status 🙈, but she deserves the recognition! Without her we wouldn’t be at £37k!! she has been the main fundraiser who has worked so hard in achieving what we have so far. Although she has a job, a child with addition needs herself as well as another child she has worked day and night to get us this far. I won’t go as far as uploading a picture because then I’ll not physically be able to continue Alfies Physio as she will literally knack me 🙈 but what I do want to say is a huge thank you to her for all of stress, sweat and tears she has put into supporting me and Alfie. We are eternally grateful to her.
Just like myself she will not stop until we have reached our total
Thank you to those who have supported us so far and continue to do so
Great news guys we are currently at £37,637 💙👣We would just like to say until any monies are put into Alfie’s Trust Fund Account then it can not be accounted for as we haven’t physically recieved it
We are so grateful to every single one of you who has helped with Alfie and continue to support him in getting him up on his feet. 👣👣👣👣
Once we hit 50k and have it in his account we will be able to book him in for that life changing operation 💙👣
As a family we will still need to continue to fundraise for Alfie as we will also need to cover a 3rd year of aftercare and specialised equipment but our main aim is to smash that 50k and get a date asap before he deteriorates too much.
Aftercare & intense Physio etc will play a massive part in getting Alfie up and walking , it’s a long road of around 2 years before we will hopefully see him up walking unaided.
Won’t be an easy road or even a straight forward road but nothing is ever easy in life and I’m sure Alfie will thank us later in life

During the past week mam has been run down leading to passing her bugs and illnesses on to both Alfie and his brother Alex. Unfortunately when this happens it’s a struggle for both mam and Alfie because Alfies muscles are affected more due to his tone becoming worse. On this occasion Alfies muscle medicines have also had to be stopped which has caused more of a struggle. It’s been very difficult for Alfie to do so much Physio while being poorly due to no energy and being so weak but they have persisted with what they could do so his muscles don’t seize up as much. His muscles are severely tighter than they usually would be.
Now that Alfie is starting to feel a little better, they are going to have to start building his muscles medicines back up as well as Physio.
To do this mam will need to do Physio little and often through out each day instead of 3 full hourly sessions and using equipments.
Here’s a short vid of Alfie this morning.
As you can see he’s not 100% but is really trying his best and as he’s our fighter he’s not giving in. He usually can do between 10-15 sit ups through each session but as you can see he’s struggling to do more than a handful.
We are so close to hitting that 50k which will lead us to be able to book that life changing operation for Alfie.
Our current total to date is £36,432
which means we need to raise £13,568
Look at the smile on Alfie’s face when he recieved a cheque from the Hartlepool Freemasons , imagine that smile when we hit that 50k and tell him we have booked his operation 💙👣
Please carry on helping us to help Alfie get up on his feet and have the opportunity to do the things we all take for granted daily 👣👣
